Finally did some woodworking in 2009

It's been a while since I've had the time to do some woodworking. So yesterday, I broke from my normal routine, stayed home, and did some woodworking. With my Blackberry and cellphone left at my desk upstairs, I headed to the shop in the basement to make some sawdust.

Several months ago I built cabinets for my shop. They've been sitting on the ground with no face frame with the benchtop just sitting on top. The benchtop is from an old door Tori got from a previous job.

It's not a huge job but was definitely a huge improvement to the shop. Here are a couple pics:

This is a closeup of one cabinet with the face frame installed and hung on the wall with a french cleat.

Here's a pic of the two cabinets hung together (both are level, believe it or not) with the benchtop secured in place.

All-in-all, a good day in the shop. :) Now I just need to figure out if I'm going to put drawers (or "draws" if you're a New Yankee Workshop fan) or doors on these guys.

Looks great, them drawers won't be hard to build, just some plywood, glue and nails and you're ready to rumble.
